چکیده
Abstract The resilience assessment is crucial for many infrastructures, including water supply and distribution networks. In particular, the identification of ‘critical’ components (nodes or pipes) whose failure may negatively affect network performances system a key issue, with direct relevance decision-makers involved in planning, management improvement activities. Among multiple methods tools available, use graph-theory metrics cutting-edge research topic, as analysis topological properties provide simple yet reliable information on performance complex present work, we aim to overcome limit associated individual metrics, identifying subset relevant that are directly connected properties, using them perform ‘network degradation analysis’ case single pipe finally proposing an aggregation results Bayesian Belief Network. Ultimately, proposed methodology provides ranking most critical pipes, i.e. those contribute resilience. A real Italy used model development validation.

VULNERABILITY ASSESSMENT OF WATER DISTRIBUTION NETWORKS: GRAPH THEORY METHOD
The main functional purpose of a water distribution network is to transport water from a source to several domestic and industrial units while at the same time satisfying various requirements on hydraulic response. All the water distribution networks perform two basic operations: firstly the water network needs to deliver adequate amounts of water to meet specific requirements, and secondly the...

A new methodology is developed to analyse existing water quality monitoring networks. This methodology incorporates different aspects of monitoring, including vulnerability/probability assessment, environmental health risk, the value of information, and redundancy reduction. The work starts with a formulation of a conceptual framework for groundwater quality monitoring to represent the methodol...
متن کاملResilience-Based Framework for Distributed Generation Planning in Distribution Networks
Events with low probability and high impact, which annually cause high damages, seriously threaten the health of the distribution networks. Hence, more attention to the issue of enhancing network resilience and continuity of power supply, feels more than ever, all over the world. In modern distribution networks, because of the increasing presence of distributed generation resources, an alternat...
